Sinopsis Terlengkap “The Sea Beast” (2022)

“The Sea Beast” is an epic adventure animated film directed by Chris Williams and released by Netflix. The film is set in a fantasy world where the oceans are filled with feared giant monsters, and monster hunters are considered heroes. With a rich narrative, stunning animation, and themes about courage, friendship, and questioning the truth, the film offers an exciting and touching adventure.

Background Story

The story centers on an era where the Kingdom of Dregmorr was filled with legends about monster hunters who dared to fight giant sea creatures. These monsters were considered a great threat to humanity, and hunters, sailing on majestic ships, were revered as heroes. Among them, the crew of the ship The Inevitable is the most famous, led by Captain Crow, an obsessive legendary hunter, and accompanied by Jacob Holland, his charismatic and talented adopted son.

Plot

The Beginning Of The Story: Monster Hunter World

The Film begins with the introduction of Jacob Holland, a brave and well-liked monster Hunter. It's the star on the ship The Inevitable, led by Captain Crow. Crow has a personal grudge against sea monsters, especially a legendary monster named Red Bluster, which he believed had caused much destruction. Jacob, who is loyal to Crow, dreams of becoming a captain someday, but he begins to question whether all monsters are truly evil as told.

Meanwhile, on the mainland, an orphaned girl named Maisie Brumble be fascinated by the heroic stories of monster Hunters. Maisie, who is smart and brave, dreams of joining them to prove that she can be a hero like her idol. Determined, Maisie sneaks aboard The Inevitable as the crew prepares for a dangerous mission: hunting down Red Bluster.

Early conflict: Jacob and Maisie's meeting

When the crew finds Maisie on board, Jacob is initially upset, but he begins to be impressed by the girl's courage and spirit. However, their mission is disrupted when The Inevitable attacked by Red Bluster. In the chaos, Jacob and Maisie are thrown overboard and stranded on a remote island with Red Bluster, who turns out to be alive. This is where their true adventure begins.

Mid-Story: An Unexpected Friendship

On the island, Maisie, distrusting the narrative that all monsters are evil, approaches Red Bluster (whom she calls “Red”) and discovers that the creatures are not as violent as depicted. Jacob, initially skeptical, begins to see the other side of the monster through their interactions. Maisie and Jacob form a bond with Red, realizing that the sea monster may have been misunderstood all along. They also find clues that the history between humans and monsters may have been twisted by the kingdom to maintain power.

In the meantime, in The Inevitable, Captain Crow is increasingly obsessed with killing Red Bluster. He is driven by resentment and pressure from the kingdom, which wants the monster exterminated in order to maintain “order”. Crow begins to lose his sanity, making the crew doubt his leadership.

Climax: battle and truth

Jacob and Maisie, along with Red, return to the mainland to stop the monster Hunt and uncover the truth. They discover that the kingdom is deliberately fomenting a war between humans and monsters to maintain control over its people, using hunters as a propaganda tool. In a thrilling climactic battle, Jacob and Maisie attempt to convince captain Crow and the rest of the crew to stop the bloodshed. Red Bluster, which shows his gentle but strong nature, becomes the key to proving that monsters are not enemies.

However, Crow, blinded by resentment, refuses to listen and launches a final attack. Jacob must make a difficult choice between his loyalty to Crow and his belief in the truth he discovered with Maisie. With the help of Red and the rest of the crew starting to turn away, Jacob and Maisie manage to stop the battle, but not without emotional sacrifice.

End Of Story: A New Hope

After the battle, Jacob and Maisie are recognized as heroes who brought about change. The kingdom begins to revise its narrative about monsters, and the relationship between humans and sea creatures begins to improve. Jacob, now finding a new purpose, decides to explore the ocean with Maisie, not as a hunter, but as a protector of the sea. Red Bluster, who survived, became a symbol of peace between humans and monsters.
