Fitur Deployment Zones memungkinkan pemain menempatkan unit-unitnya di dalam zona yang telah ditandai, mengubah formasi, sekaligus menetapkan waypoint pertama mereka. Pada misi lanjutan, pemain bahkan dapat menempatkan pasukan sebagai satu formasi utuh atau menyebarkannya menjadi unit-unit individual, misalnya untuk membantu menghindari identifikasi musuh.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai bagian dari perubahan ini, peta kampanye linear kini berfungsi sebagai permukaan penempatan dan briefing, lengkap dengan penanda unit musuh di setiap misi sehingga pemain dapat menganalisis situasi dengan cermat sebelum bertempur. Sementara itu, Unrestricted Mode membuka akses Task Force Builder untuk menggunakan seluruh unit dalam permainan. Untuk mendukung fitur ini, pengembang menciptakan kalkulator poin otomatis yang berjalan setiap kali permainan dimulai guna menghasilkan nilai poin bagi setiap unit, sehingga kapal-kapal hasil modifikasi kini juga dapat digunakan dalam mode tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Pembaruan ini turut menyempurnakan penanganan kapal melalui penambahan tombol alih &#8216;alignment&#8217; di bilah bawah, yang mengatasi keluhan umum soal kapal yang kerap berputar untuk membuka peluncur misil atau meriam saat diperintahkan menyerang. Triassic Games juga mulai membawa fitur Aerial Refueling sebagai fitur yang didukung penuh, dengan pesawat penerima yang harus kompatibel dengan tanker terkait.
