*The Complete Synopsis Of Toy Story 2 (1999)**

*Toy Story 2* adalah film animasi produksi Pixar Animation Studios dan Disney yang merupakan sekuel dari *Toy Story* (1995). The Film is directed by John Lasseter, with the story focusing on the adventures of living toys, especially Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and their friends, in the face of a crisis of identity, loyalty, and the meaning of existence as toys. Here is the most complete synopsis of the film:

** Beginning Of The Story: Woody's Crisis**
The Film begins with the life of toys in the room of Andy, a little boy who loves his toys very much. Woody, Andy's favorite cowboy toy, is preparing to go to cowboy camp with Andy. However, while playing, Andy accidentally tears Woody's arm, leaving him to be repaired. Andy decides to leave Woody at home, and Woody is placed on a shelf, making him feel sad and afraid of being abandoned. This fear is further magnified when he has nightmares about being thrown in the trash.

Meanwhile, Wheezy, a penguin toy that was once popular among Andy's toys, is found forgotten under the bed, full of dust and broken. This reinforces Woody's fears that a similar fate may await him if he is no longer “useful” to Andy.

*The Abduction Of Woody**
The next day, Andy's mother holds a garage sale, and accidentally puts Wheezy in a Thrift Box. Woody attempts to save Wheezy by attracting the attention of Andy's dog, Buster, to thwart the sale. The rescue mission succeeds, but Woody accidentally catches the attention of Al McWhiggin, an obsessive toy collector who owns the toy store “Al's Toy Barn”. Al mengenali Woody sebagai boneka langka dari acara TV tahun 1950-an bernama *Woody’s Roundup*. Sneakily, Al steals Woody and takes him to his apartment.

** Rescue missions Buzz and friends**
After learning the identity of the kidnapper from an Al's Toy Barn commercial on television, Buzz leads a rescue mission to save Woody. They adventure through the city, encountering various obstacles such as crossing a busy highway, breaking into a tempting Al toy store, and encountering a version of “another Buzz Lightyear” who still believes himself to be a real space ranger. This new Buzz comically adds to the chaos, but eventually the team manages to track down Woody's whereabouts.

**Kehidupan Baru Woody di *Woody’s Roundup***
Meanwhile, at Al's apartment, Woody meets the other members of the *Woody's Roundup* collection: Jessie, a horse named Bullseye, and Stinky Pete (Prospector), a miner toy still in its original box. They explained that Woody was part of a popular TV show in the past, and they were toys created based on the show's characters. Al plans to sell this entire collection to a toy museum in Japan, where they will be put on display as valuable artifacts.

Initially, Woody wants to return to Andy, but Jessie tells him her sad story: she was once loved by a girl named Emily, but ended up abandoned when Emily grew up. Jessie convinces Woody that a similar fate will befall Andy, and living in a museum is a way to remain “immortal”. Stinky Pete also urges Woody to accept his destiny as collectible, arguing that the toy will never be truly happy if it just waits to be abandoned by its owner. Torn between loyalty to Andy and the offer of a new, “eternal” life, Woody begins to hesitate.

** Conflict and betrayal**
Buzz and friends finally arrive at Al's apartment and try to convince Woody to go home. However, Woody who is already affected by Jessie and Stinky Pete initially refuses, believing that living in a museum is the best option. Buzz reminds Woody of the true meaning of being a toy: giving happiness to a child, even if only temporarily. Buzz's words touch Woody's heart, and he decides to return to Andy with Jessie and Bullseye, who also want to experience life with a child.

However, their plans are thwarted by Stinky Pete, who turns out to have an agenda of his own. He didn't want Woody's Roundup collection to break up because he'd never felt the love of a child and just wanted to be adored in a museum. Stinky Pete locks Woody and friends in a suitcase to be shipped to Japan, revealing his manipulative nature.

** Peak adventure at the airport**
Buzz and the rescue team, along with Jessie and Bullseye, chase Al to the airport to stop the shipment. Here, they face a series of tense stunts, including a chase in the cargo area of the airport. Woody manages to get out of the suitcase, but has to face Stinky Pete in a dramatic confrontation on the runway. With the help of Buzz and Jessie, Woody defeats Stinky Pete, who ends up being put in the bag of a small child—an irony for Pete who has always disdained life as a child's toy.

At the critical moment, Woody and Jessie are almost too late to escape from the cargo plane that is about to take off. With epic teamwork, including a galloping Bullseye and Buzz who uses his “space Guardian”abilities, they manage to escape and return to Andy's House.

** Cover: the meaning of family and loyalty**
Back at Andy's House, Woody repairs his arm and welcomes Jessie, Bullseye, and Wheezy (who is also repaired) as part of the toy family. Andy returns from Camp and happily plays with his toys, unaware of the great adventure they have just gone through. Woody, who now better understands the meaning of his life, accepts that Andy may one day grow up, but he chooses to enjoy the happy moments with Andy while he can.

The Film closes on an optimistic note, in which Wheezy passionately sings the song “you've Got a Friend in me”, underlining the themes of friendship, loyalty and the true meaning of life as a toy: to love and be loved, even if only temporarily.

** Main themes and messages**
* Toy Story 2 * explores deep themes such as existential crisis, loyalty, and acceptance of change.
