Resident Evil

“Resident Evil” is the first sci-fi horror action film in Capcom's series of adaptations of popular video games. Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, this film follows Alice (Milla Jovovich), a woman who wakes up with no memory in a mysterious mansion. Together with a special commando team, he dives into an underground facility belonging to the Umbrella Corporation called "The Hive." There, they face a T-Virus outbreak that turns humans into vicious zombies, as well as threats from terrifying mutations and an evil artificial intelligence called the Red Queen. This film offers a combination of horror tension, shooting action, and a dystopian atmosphere with visual effects typical of the early 2000s era.
Compatibility with children:
“Resident Evil” (2002) is rated R (Restricted) or the equivalent of 17+ in many countries because it contains graphic violence, blood, horrific scenes such as zombies and mutant creatures, and slightly rough language. The film features quite intense horror elements, such as surprise attacks and massacres, which may frighten or disturb children. The story's dark themes and tense atmosphere make it unsuitable for audiences under 17 years of age without parental supervision. This film is more suitable for late teens or adults who like the horror and action genres, and are not sensitive to violence or psychological tension. For children under 13, this film is strongly not recommended due to potential emotional impact and scares.
