JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure” is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki, which was later adapted into an anime. The story follows The Adventures of the Joestar family through various generations, with each part (called a “Part”) focusing on a new protagonist who usually has the nickname “JoJo”. The series is noted for its unique art style, eccentric characters, and creative supernatural combat. Cerita dimulai dengan Jonathan Joestar di Part 1 (“Phantom Blood”) yang menghadapi vampir bernama Dio Brando, lalu berkembang ke kekuatan supernatural bernama “Stand” mulai dari Part 3 (“Stardust Crusaders”). Each section has a different theme, setting, and style, ranging from the Victorian era to modern times.
Regarding compatibility with children's viewing “ " Jojo's Bizarre Adventure” in general not designed for small children. The series contains many elements that are more suitable for teenagers or young adults, such as:
- Graphic Violence: Fight scenes are often bloody, with severe injuries, amputations, and deaths of explicitly depicted characters.
- Horror and suspense: There is an element of horror, especially in the early parts with vampires and terrible creatures, as well as emotionally intense situations.
- Abusive Language: Dialogue sometimes uses harsh words or sarcasm that may not be appropriate for children.
- Adult Themes: Some sections touch on themes such as betrayal, death and complex morality, which can be difficult for young children to understand.
However, the degree of this “mismatch” varies between parts. For example, Parts 1 and 2 (“Phantom Blood” and “Battle Tendency”) tend to be lighter than Part 3 or Part 4, but there is still violence. If for children under 13 years old, the series is less recommended without parental supervision. For teenagers (13 years and older), this can be an exciting spectacle, especially if they like action, adventure and unusual stories, provided that they are comfortable with elements of violence and light horror. Parents should check in advance the contents of the section to be watched to make sure it is appropriate for the age and maturity of the child.
