A high school student named Shōyō Hinata becomes obsessed with volleyball after watching Karasuno High School win their match to qualify for the National Championship on TV. Despite having a short body, Hinata was inspired by a player nicknamed “Little Giant”, the player speaker Karasuno's wings are short, but talented. Despite her inexperience, Hinata has an athletic build and has an impressive vertical jump. She briefly joined the Volleyball Club at her school, but she was the only member at the club, forcing her to spend the next two years trying to convince other students to help her train.
