Suitability for Children's Viewing:
This film is not suitable for children under the age of 13. Although it is themed around teenagers and has a cheerful vibe at the beginning, “20th Century Girl” contains complex emotional elements such as sacrifice, loss, and death that may be difficult to understand or too heavy for children. The romance scenes are also more relevant for teenagers or young adults. However, for teenagers (13 years and above), this film can be an interesting watch because it raises the issue of friendship and first love in a relatable way, as well as providing an educational nostalgic nuance about the pre-digital era. Parents are advised to accompany their children if they watch, especially to discuss the emotions and moral messages in the story.
