Early Life
Jefri Nichol was born in Jakarta on January 15, 1999 as the first child of John Hendri and Junita Eka Putri, who came from Sungai Geringging, Padang Pariaman, West Sumatra. He has a younger sister named Princess Jessie. Jefri's family has a Minangkabau background, and his real name, Jefry Nikhol, reflects the unique naming tradition of the Minang tribe. His father, John Hendri, had worked as an ambassador at ITC Jakarta.
Jefri showed a shy nature as a child, but his interest in the entertainment world began to appear since adolescence. He studied at a junior high school in Jakarta, then went on to SMK Tunas Jakasampurna with a major in information technology (IT), because initially he aspired to a career in technology. However, a busy filming schedule led him to switch to homeschooling education to complete his high school.
