Biografi Crosby Fitzgerald

Crosby Fitzgerald is an American actress born in Georgia, United States. Until mid-2026 he will be 36 years old. She is best known for the role of Sylvia in the comedy-drama series Palm Royale (Apple TV+, 2024) dan terutama sebagai Caroline “Ma” Ingalls di adaptasi Netflix Little House on the Prairie (2026-present), which was already extended to a second season before it even premiered.

Early life and family

Fitzgerald was born in Georgia and grew up in a large family environment: two brothers and three sisters. Almost all members of his family, including his father, were red-haired. She herself is a natural redhead, something she talks about openly on her redhead-only podcast. She often tells stories about her childhood sunburns in Georgia (especially while playing tennis) and how freckles and red hair became a “spectacular” part of their family. There is a little red-haired girl's twin half-sister (about 11 years old in 2025).

He has a very close relationship with the family. When I heard about the casting Little House on the Prairie, she was at home in Atlanta and told her mother directly—she had been a big fan of Laura Ingalls Wilder's books for a long time. Her stepmother is also very fond of the classic 1970s NBC series. Her maternal grandmother, a stern Southern woman and her “silent battles”, she only really understood after playing Caroline Ingalls. The role made her cry and feel more understanding of her deceased grandmother.

Ia menyebutkan warisan Irlandia di dalam dirinya (kadang bilang “that might be the Irish in me” saat berbicara tentang sikap waspada di industri hiburan).

Education and training

Fitzgerald lulus dari Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre di New York, sekolah legendaris yang juga menghasilkan Robert Duvall dan Gregory Peck. Ia juga mengikuti pelatihan advanced di Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) di New York dan Los Angeles, yang memperkuat kemampuan improvisasi dan komedinya—genre yang ia sebut sebagai “first love”.

His physique: height 5 feet 8 inches (about 173 cm), Weight about 125 lbs. Keterampilan yang tercatat di resume-nya cukup beragam: archery, basketball, skiing (cross-country & downhill), jet ski, water skiing, stage combat, shooting (revolver/automatic), yoga, dance (jazz & modern), improvisasi, dan berbagai aksen (Southern, Texan, British Cockney, Irish, Russian, Polish, dll.). He can also speak a little Mandarin and Spanish.

Career Journey

His career began around 2012 with a short film. Tahun-tahun awal diisi peran-peran kecil di web series, Funny or Die, College Humor, dan teater off-Broadway/off-off (seperti The Prayer as Angela, Almost, Maine as Gayle, and Graceland).

He almost gave up. Before the audition Little Houseshe once told herself, “I'll give you one more year, if it doesn't work out, I'll go home to Atlanta and go to nursing school.“The decision was actually a sense of relief and”nothing to lose". Then came the big opportunity.

More visible early roles:

• Guest star di Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (2020)
• Abbott Elementary (2022) as Miss Kerman
• The First Lady (2022) as Carol

The real breakthrough came through Palm Royale (2024) as Sylvia. On the set she worked with Kristen Wiig, Laura Dern, and Carol Burnett (fellow redheads—they cried together when they met). After it appeared on The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox (Hulu, 2025) as Madison, the movie Goodrich (2024), Baby Bird (2024), and Crime 101 (2026) sebagai Madeleine (film yang melibatkan Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, dll.).

The highlight is Little House on the Prairie Netflix. Awalnya ia ragu besar: “Saya orang yang brash, loud, and annoying, sementara Caroline terlihat poised dan elegan."After reading the script and research (including books Prairie Fires), he discovers Caroline's fierce, layered, and human side—the woman who crossed the river while pregnant, broke her leg, even brandished a shotgun at Wolves. This role was his first really long lead role (previously rarely more than 6-7 days on set). Ia dan co-star Luke Bracey (Charles Ingalls) langsung akrab, bahkan membuat playlist Spotify bersama sebelum bertemu (termasuk John Prine dan Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young). They described Ma and Pa as “teammates”.

The series already has an extended second season before premiering July 9, 2026. Fitzgerald himself is still “processing " that he can play in a show, let alone that it has secured a second season.
