Complete Synopsis: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is the sequel of The Curse of the Black Pearl, which follows The Adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann in a pirate world full of intrigue, mythology, and danger. The Film introduces new supernatural elements, deeper conflicts and iconic characters such as Davy Jones, while maintaining the humor, action and adventure typical of the series.

The beginning of the story: New curses and threats

The story begins with Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) preparing for their wedding in Port Royal. However, their plans are interrupted when Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander) of the East India Trading Company arrives. Beckett arrests the two for aiding the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Beckett, ambitious and cunning, has an agenda to control the oceans and wipe out Pirates. He forces Will to find Jack and retrieve his magic compass as a condition of Elizabeth's release.
Meanwhile, Jack Sparrow is in big trouble. As it turns out, he owes his life to Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), the terrible captain of the Ghost Ship Flying Dutchman. Thirteen years ago, Jones helped Jack raise Black Pearl from the bottom of the sea with the condition that Jack must give up his soul after the end of his service as captain. Now, Jack's time is running out, and Jones sends a giant sea monster, the Kraken, to hunt him down.
