Background and Prologue
The story begins thousands of years ago in Kahndaq, an ancient city in the Middle East ruled by King Anh-Kot, a tyrant who enslaved his people to mine Eternium, a powerful mystical mineral. In the midst of suffering, a young slave named Hurut rebelled against the King's cruelty. When Hurut was about to be executed, the Council of Wizards led by Shazam chose him as their champion, giving him the powers of six Egyptian gods: Shu's Stamina, Horus ' speed, Amon's strength, Zehuti's wisdom, Aton's strength, and Mehen's courage. With this power, Hurut became the hero who overthrew Anh-Kot. However, tragedy struck when Hurut was killed by enemies seeking revenge. His father, Teth-Adam, in despair, received the power of Hurut to avenge the death of his son. Teth-Adam used his power so brutally, destroying his enemies and most of the Kahndaq, that the Council of magicians deemed him unworthy and imprisoned him in an ancient tomb for thousands of years.
Modern Times: The Rise Of Black Adam
In modern Kahndaq, the country is under the occupation of Intergang, an international criminal organization exploiting Eternium's resources. Adriana Tomaz, an archaeologist and freedom fighter, along with her brother Karim and his comrades, are trying to fight Intergang. They search for the Sabbac Crown, an ancient artifact believed to have great power, to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. As Intergang attacks the excavation site, Adriana accidentally resurrects Teth-Adam from his tomb by casting an ancient spell.
Teth-Adam, now known as Black Adam, Rose with unparalleled power. He easily finished off the Intergang forces, but his brutal nature and indifference to civilian casualties caused concern. Adriana, who initially sees him as Kahndaq's savior, begins to question Black Adam's motives.
